Rendering of various services in Ukraine is regulated mostly by the Civil Code of Ukraine, namely by clauses 901 to 907 of the same and by a lot of special subsequent clauses of the Civil Code of Ukraine devoted to separate types of services and by numerous specific laws and bylaws of Ukraine.

Clause 901 of the Civil Code of Ukraine provides that on the grounds of the service agreement one of the parties (the contractor) undertakes to render the service according to the order of the other party (the customer), which is consumed through performing certain action or activity, and the customer undertakes to pay the contractor for such service.

Clause 902 of the Civil Code of Ukraine provides that the contractor has to render the service personally. However, if directly provided by the services agreement, the contractor has the right to entrust rendering of the service to the other entity, therewith he is still responsible before the customer.

Clause 903 of the Civil Code of Ukraine provides that the contractor is to be paid by the customer on terms and conditions of the services agreement for the service rendered to him.

Duration of the services agreement is to be set after joint agreement of the parties if otherwise is not provided by the law or bylaws.

Clause 906 of the Civil Code of Ukraine provides also that the contractor has to recover any losses and damages of the customer incurred by poor rendering or non-rendering of the services.

Also one should keep it in mind that rendering of some services requires availability of appropriate license.
